Dogsled team to visit Lakewood Ford

May 13, 2013 By Ben Sclair

Dogsledding team Kenneth and Yvonne Dabakk, along with their racing Siberian Huskies, will make their first U.S. stop at Lakewood Ford (Tuesday, May 14 – 2:30 p.m.) to purchase a truck to take to Alaska. The husband-and-wife team plans to live in Alaska for two years for Yvonne’s post-doctoral research and to compete in the Iditarod in 2014 and 2015.

Lakewood Ford sales associate Rick Bauer will meet the Dabakks and their dogs at Sea-Tac International Airport. He will bring the Dabakk’s F-150 truck, along with a 16-foot flatbed trailer, to assist the team in loading up and returning to the dealership for final purchase activities. Kenneth and Yvonne Dabakk, along with Ford representatives, will be available for photos at Lakewood Ford.
