TACOMA – KBTC Public Television, a service of Bates Technical College, recently announced the appointment of Brent Mason as manager of individual giving, effective May 2. Mason will be responsible for membership, major donor cultivation and planned giving.
The Federal Way resident has more than 12 years experience in community relations and corporate development. Most recently, Mason worked as the development director at KING FM 98.1 in Seattle. He has also served as development director for Washington Women’s Employment and Education, major gifts officer for KPLU, and corporate relations manager for The Zoo Society at Pt. Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
“Brent has a solid background in major giving, planned giving and development. We are excited to have him join our team. His prior public media experience is a tremendous asset,” said interim KBTC General Manager Ed Ulman.
Mason holds a bachelor’s degree from California Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
