This year Tacoma Community College resumes hosting Surgical Demonstration Day, a popular invitation-only event that has been part of the college science program for more than 12 years. The event will be held in the Transue Center for Science and Engineering May 17, noon – 5 p.m.
Advanced TCC Biology students will present demonstrations to guests, including students from local high schools. TCC student demonstrators are trained by practicing surgeons from Madigan Army Medical Center. These military surgeons generously donate their time and expertise to TCC students and guests for this event.
Pre-registration is required. Guests, including members of the press, must RSVP to 253.460.3959, and are asked to check in at the Welcome Table in Building 29 upon arrival. Demonstrations will start every 20 minutes beginning at 12 noon. In accordance with Washington State law, photos of cadavers are not permitted.
