Soundcare welcomes Jones back with newly created position

May 6, 2013 By Ben Sclair

Soundcare, Inc. is the owner-operator of four senior living communities in the South Sound with corporate headquarters in University Place. A newly created position was added in a recent move naming Jaynie Jones as Community Relations Liaison for the corporation.

She had been employed exclusively by the company at its Bridgeport Place Retirement and Assisted Living community in University Place for several years. Now her new office is in the corporate headquarters and she has taken on the role of community outreach on behalf of the corporation including via social media. Primary focus is on assisting University Place Care Center and Nisqually Valley Care Center, in McKenna, in their community outreach endeavors, but she is also providing support to Messenger House Care Center on Bainbridge Island, and Bridgeport Place.

Much of the time she is out of the office developing community connections with senior centers, civic groups, businesses, and health care providers. For example, the 2013 Health Fair sponsored by University Place Care Center is slated for Saturday, June 22, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and a lot is involved in the planning and preparation for the event. The event is open to the public and will feature vendor booths from many businesses and organizations.

I applaud Soundcare’s decision to rehire Jaynie Jones for a newly created outreach position. Jaynie Jones is a multi-talented person who has been recognized by Soundcare as a valuable asset to the organization in the past. May the new job be fruitful not only for Soundcare, but for Jaynie herself.
