TILLICUM – The community is invited to celebrate the culture and diversity of the Pacific Islands will come alive during a free event at Tillicum Pierce County Library, 14916 Washington Ave. S.W., on Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m.
At the Pacific-Islander Month of May Celebration, the rich cultural diversity of the Pacific Islands will be displayed through booths highlighting crafts, food and games from the islands of Guam, Northern Marianas, Micronesia, and American Samoa. Participants will experience this cultural event with hands-on involvement in each booth.
All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Event will take place in the Tillicum American Lake Community Center, adjoining the library.
FRIENDS of Lakewood Library sponsor this free event in partnership with the Samoan National Nurses Association.
