Bridgeport Place Welcomes Kiwi

May 2, 2013 By Jaynie Jones

By Jaynie Jones

Bridgeport Place Retirement and Assisted Living welcomes Maringi Lloyd as the new Community Relations Coordinator.  She is a native of New Zealand and refers to herself as a ‘kiwi’.  Her professional background is in Special Education and she holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Grand Canyon University, but she is also an entrepreneur and is active in numerous local organizations.  Her warm, engaging personality is sincere and she is a natural at community outreach.  Maringi is a welcome asset to the management team.

Since taking on her new role she has been actively involved in events at the University Place Senior Activity Center including serving the Soup-tacular luncheon, plus hosting the recent Partner UP with the City of University Place and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, University Place – Fircrest Division.  She also serves as Ambassador for the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, and is actively involved with her son’s Cub Scout pack.

Maringi Lloyd, husband Steve and son Mokoya make their home in University Place.

Bridgeport Place is owned and operated by Soundcare, Inc. with corporate headquarters in University Place.  soundcareinc.com
