Haley Nicholson, Miss Pierce County 2013, is the featured presenter at our Tillicum Woodbrook Neighborhood Association meeting May 2, 6:30 P.M., Tillicum Community Center, 14916 Washington Ave. SW. Haley’s presentation will include her talent: Vocal and her platform issue: “Prevention of Innocence Lost – Sex Trafficking.”
Miss Pierce County is an official local preliminary for the Miss Washington and Miss America pageants.
Haley’s hometown is Puyallup and the 21-year-old is a scholastic Dean’s List honors student at the University of Washington, Tacoma campus where she is pursuing her education in telecommunications. Haley co-authored and presents Care Net’s Smart Freedom Curriculum being used in Pierce County schools to alert young people to the dangers of sex trafficking. At Champions Centre, Haley is employed as the Creative Director of Kids Ministry, Youth Department Worship Leader, and Young Women’s Discipleship.
Haley will have her photo autograph cards with her the night of May 2nd, and she will be signing autographs before and at the end of her presentation.
While the Miss Pierce County organization does not charge an appearance fee, on the night of May 2nd donations will be accepted to “further scholarship awards and the personal development of young women.”
The TWNA regular monthly meeting will follow the refreshment/autograph break at 7:30 P.M.
