CAMP MURRAY – Washington Army National Guard Major Daniel Wojciechowski will be honored by First Lady Michelle Obama and the President’s Military Credentialing and Licensing Task Force at the White House in Washington D.C. on Monday, April 29.
The task force, led by the Department of Defense, is charged with identifying military specialties that readily transfer to high-demand jobs, working with civilian credentialing and licensing associations to address gaps between military training programs and credentialing and licensing requirements; and providing service members with greater access to necessary certification and licensing exams.
Wojciechowski, a signal officer in Washington Army National Guard, used the credentialing and licensing program to receive a Cisco Certified Network Associate Certificate. The certificate directly led to him becoming the IS Compliance and Security Risk Management Analyst with Costco at its corporate headquarters in Issaquah.
A multiple tour combat veteran, Wojciechowski has served 11 years in the military, including seven in the Washington National Guard. He has received numerous awards while serving and is viewed as a leader and mentor for other citizen-soldiers.
The citizen-soldiers and airmen of the Washington National Guard are dedicated to the mission of safeguarding lives and property in Washington state, and serving as sentinels for freedom overseas. We are Neighbors Helping Neighbors through a Tradition of Service.
