Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s I Corps will conduct a community listening session April 18, 10 a.m. to noon at the Eagle’s Pride Golf Course. The purpose of this listening session is to collect input, and explain the processes the Active Army is using to shape the force.
Actions are being considered to shape the Active Army’s forces more effectively to meet national security requirements while reducing its overall end-strength. At this time no decisions have been made. The Active Army will reduce from about 570,000 to 490,000 soldiers by the end of fiscal year 2017.
Lt. Gen. Robert B. Brown, I Corps Commanding General, will lead the community listening session. RSVP with LTC Gary Dangerfield, I Corps Public Affairs Office (253) 477-3048 or after duty-hours (253) 208-0576.
