CPSD students earn awards at South Sound Regional Science Fair

Students throughout Clover Park School District earned awards at the South Sound Regional Science Fair March 23 at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. The students qualified for the regional fair after first competing in school science fairs and at the districtwide STEM fair in early March. South Sound Regional Science Fair Winners:

Kindergarten
• Jayden Mbuja, Idlewild Elementary, first place
• Marilyn Johnson, Tillicum Elementary, second place
• Julia Sandusky, Tillicum Elementary, honorable mention

Second Grade
• Sterling Norris, Custer Elementary, Weird Science Award

Third Grade
• Tori Sorem and Rayna Montgomery, Custer Elementary, honorable mention
• Rix Pearson, Park Lodge Elementary, Weird Science Award

Fourth Grade
• Olivia Douglas, Custer Elementary, honorable mention

Fifth Grade
• Adeline Douglas, Custer Elementary, second place
• Rafi Mbuja, Idlewild Elementary, second place
• Elijah Yi, Clarkmoor Elementary, third place
• Tanyel Brooks, Park Lodge Elementary, honorable mention
