Pierce County Parks offers a wide variety of activities

Bricks 4 Kidz offers fun, hands-on programs where kids can learn, build, and play with LEGO® bricks. Our specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. Bricks 4 Kidz provides an enriching atmosphere where kids can develop their curiosity and creativity, while having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Ages: 5-13
Instructor: Bricks 4 Kidz Instructors
Location: Chambers Creek Regional Park
Min/Max: 6/20

Space Adventures (6 wks)

Provides the spark for imagination and creativity to take off on an adventure that’s out of this world. Each day, students will learn about real-life space exploration and build models related to the NASA space program. In addition, the class includes LEGO® Star Wars™ themed models, games, and group challenges.

Tuesday June 18 – July 23 / 6:30-7:30pm $72 per child

Amusement Park (6 wks)

Get your ticket to ride at Bricks 4 Kidz® very own amusement park! Students will build a new ride each day, learning the physics of how things spin, roll, turn and rock. Then they will take what they have learned to design their own thrills and challenges. Motorized models maximize the action and the fun. Each day includes carnival-themed games, group challenges, model-building and more.

Tuesday July 30- Sept 3 / 6:30-7:30pm $72 per child

Personal Group Fitness Training Class

Pierce County Parks and Redzone Sports have partnered to provide you a new way to get in shape and stay fit!

Here’s your chance to work out with certified fitness trainers. Our Trainers will introduce, demonstrate, and lead various exercises with a variety of techniques. These fun invigorating activities are designed for all abilities to improve functional strength for life’s everyday challenges. Sessions include the use of medicine and exercise balls, resistance bands, and jump ropes like the ones used on The Biggest Loser.

Ages: 16 and up

Location: Chambers Creek Regional Park / Central Meadow
Fee: $60 (4 weeks) $124 (8 weeks)

Coed Ultimate Frisbee League

In partnership with Disc Northwest, Pierce County Parks and Recreation is excited to offer Coed Ultimate Frisbee at Chambers Creek Regional Park play fields!

Sign up as an individual or request a buddy to be drafted onto a team. You will be placed onto teams by staff.

Individuals from beginning to veteran are welcome to drop by and talk to ultimate players. This is your opportunity to learn the basics through participation and hands on instruction from experienced players.

For: Ages 18 and up
Location: Chambers Creek Playfields
Date: June 2 – July 28 (No games 7/7, Deadline to register 5/28)
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Fee: $20 per individual per session

* Washington State mandated sales tax included *

Youth Kickball League

A fun, recreational league with 10 player teams for boys and girls. This league is divided into grades 3-4 and 5-6. Bring your school yard best out to play in this NEW six week program of Kickball. League fee includes t-shirt! League plays rain or shine.

For: Boys and Girls, ages 8-11

Fee: $30 per player

Age Divisions:

Registration: April 15- May 23rd. Online Registrations Accepted! Parents and players will need to fill out and sign a concussion information sheet.

Practices: Practices are held one evening per week (Mon-Thur) from 5pm – 8pm starting the week of June 3rd.

Games: All games are played on Tuesdays. Games will begin on June 25th and run through July 30th. Game times are 6:30pm – 7:30pm. All games and practices will be held in the Central Meadow located at Chambers Creek Regional Park.
