Grief seminar offered at Mountain View Funeral Home

April 15, 2013 By Ben Sclair

By Geoff Piper, Director of Bereavement Services

Are you having a harder time with your grief than you though you would? Is it hurting more, taking longer and affecting your life more? It’s not uncommon that a few weeks or a few months after a death, those grieving the loss aren’t getting alone as well as they hoped.

Geoff Piper, Bereavement Director at Mountain View Funeral Home, says, “I get a lot of calls 3 to 6 months after a loved on has died. Typically, the person has tried to get along without help or support, but now feels the need. People just don’t know what to expect and worry about how badly they feel.”

On Tuesday, April 16 at 6:00 PM, Piper will present a Grief Seminar in Mountain View Funeral Home’s Celebration of Life Center at 4100 Steilacoom Boulevard SW in Lakewood. He will describe what people normally experience when grieving, as well as how to get help and how to help someone else who is dealing with a loss.

Whether you are grieving or you want to help someone else, this Seminar is for you.

For information and to sign up to attend the Seminar, contact Geoff Piper at 253-584-0252 or gpiper@mountainviewtacoma.com.
