Money and books. Books and money. Books cost lots of money; we all know that. There is a secret way to buy lots of books and save lots of money. What is that secret way of which I speak? FRIENDS of Lakewood Library triple-event book sale.
Where is this money saving book-buying adventure going down?
Lakewood Library – 6300 Wildaire Rd SW, just off Gravelly Lake Dr SW across from Clover Park High School in the City of Lakewood.
How does this money-saving-book-buying adventure work?
Event 1 – Member Appreciation Night: Thursday, March 15, 2012, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Limit is 25 items per member. Refreshments served.
Event 2 – Members–Only Presale: Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. No limits on this sale. Refreshments served.
Event 3 – Public Sale: Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, 2012, 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No limits at this sale. No refreshments served, but Starbucks is nearby.
The used paperback books, hardback books, CDs, DVDs, VCR tapes, magazines, maps, old books, large print books, children’s books and phonograph records (45 – 33 1/3 & 78) are all donated to FRIENDS of Lakewood Library.
If you would like to become a FRIENDS of Lakewood Library member and then be able to attend all three events, there are multiple choices designed to fit your budget and desire to help our library.
Memberships: Individual – $15. Associate – $25. Family – $35. Sponsor – $50. Community Partner – $100.
You can pick up an application at the library and immediately join, even on the day of any of the three book sale events described above.

This is a fantastic used book sale. The prices are eye popping. When you buy and save, you will most importantly be helping to support our Lakewood Library and our Tillicum Library. Helping our libraries gives us a good feeling.
