As I pull in, I could not believe my eyes. Tony Lambert was stopped on the scale with a full load of brush. Here comes the interesting part. He was hauling the load with his 1926 Ford convertible pick up truck.
Tony owns the last independent auto parts store in Tacoma, called Lincoln Auto Parts located at 764 South 56th St, Tacoma, Washington 98408. The store was founded in 1954. Tony uses the truck as his company driver.
Many of us have attended lots of car shows and probably have even seen 1926 Ford trucks before. Other folks have classic and antique cars hidden away in their garages.
The thing that is different here is that Tony is using his museum piece on the open road to haul stuff, just like back in 1926.
Tony thanks for sharing your piece of rolling American history as you recycle your truck to recycle your brush.

Tony, I forgot to mention in the article. While researching 1926 Fords I discovered that they cost $515 brand new. Even though yours is not brand new, I am still fully prepared to give you the new price of $515.
I will be waiting by my phone.

Ben,
Joe writes interesting articles. The picture of the 1926 Ford convertible pickup for us older readers was interesting and reminiscent of days gone by.
