St. Joseph-St. John Episcopal Church will hold its free annual family-friendly summer festival on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be many different types of entertainment, including Hula Halau ‘O Kealaakua Naniloa Mana’oakamai Hawai’ian Dancers (above), Rhubarb the Rainiers’ mascot (below), the soft rock-country band Austin Radio and the sounds of RJ’s Express big band. A panel of Master Gardeners will answer yard and gardening questions.
Activities for children will include crafts and a fish pond. The church will provide free hot dogs, chips and soda. There will also be commercial food vendors. The West Pierce County Fire Department and the Lakewood Police Department will have personnel and equipment on hand. The church is located at 11111 Military Rd.
