A circus-themed open house event was held at the Lakewood Senior Activity Center recently. Featured were agencies, businesses, and other organizations that serve seniors in Lakewood and the surrounding region.
Health care providers included senior living communities and home care services, footwear, grief support, hearing services, and even the fire department had tabletop displays of their informational materials.
Visitors toured the exhibits and checked off each vendor whose booth they had stopped by to enter the drawings for prizes.
Cracker Jacks, Animal Crackers, doughnuts, ice cream, and popcorn were handed out as treats to everyone in attendance.
In keeping with the circus theme, Elizabeth Scheid and her team from the Lakewood Senior Activity Center wore red-and-white striped vests. A juggler performed as he strolled up and down the midway of tabletop booth displays.
