Clover Park School District (CPSD) partnered with the Oakbrook Swim and Tennis Club (OSTC) to allow Hudtloff Middle School tennis players use of the courts while the school is under construction. In turn, district personnel are cleaning and maintaining the courts.
“This partnership is an example of how the district works with community organizations to meet the needs of our students,” said Bruce Gardner, CPSD director of maintenance and operations. “Thanks to OSTC, the boy’s and girl’s tennis teams get to continue the tennis season with minimal interruption.”
Hudtloff Middle School is being rebuilt at its current location thanks to a $92 million construction bond, approved by voters in February 2010. Money will also be used to build a consolidated Oakwood and Southgate Elementary School and a new Harrison Preparatory Academy, in partnership with Clover Park Technical College.
