The Pierce County Districting Committee is seeking public input on proposed changes to County Council district boundaries.
The five-member committee is scheduling meetings in all seven County Council districts. The first two meetings are this week. The Districting Master, Steven Garrett, will make a presentation that will include maps of proposed changes. Draft maps are available now on the committee’s website, www.piercecountywa.org/redistricting.
“The Districting Master has begun redrawing the boundaries to make sure each district is nearly equal in population,” said Karen Seinfeld, chair of the Districting Committee. “This is a first draft. We want to hear what people in each area think about these proposed changes.”

District 2: Thursday, May 26, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Fife School District Administration Office.
District 1: May 31, 7:30 to 9 p.m., Graham Kapowsin High School, Career Center.
