Jean Imeko Bitow, 87, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Her immense love for life flowed out to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Jean leaves behind her seven children and their spouses; Larry (Susan), Richard, Mike, Janis, Leonard, Judy and John (Nancy), as well as her 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters and her 2 daschunds. She is predeceased by Leonard Bitow (husband), George Holderith (long time friend), John Ikeda (brother), and Joel Bitow (grandson). Our thanks to Trina, Kathy, and Deanna for their nuturing care given to our mom. David Michael Carsner, 10/31/45 to 5/18/11. James J. Keirstead, 2/4/31 – 5/18/11, passed away suddenly after a short illness. He graduated from Lincoln High School, served in the Coast Guard, and ran a very successful window business. He was married 53 years to his wife Charlotte. They had two boys Jamie (Cherie) and Steve, and his only grandchild Brooke who he adored. Step daughters Valerie and Wanda, one step son Stan and several step grandchildren. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a loving, gentle, giving man. Esther K. McAtee (Habecker), born Sept. 3, 1916 in Phoenix, AZ, went to be with her Lord May 21, 2011. She was married to Ernest F. McAtee on Sept. 23, 1934, and moved to Tacoma in 1944. Later she went to work for Tacoma General as a Seamstress where she retired. Mom was also a dress and quilt maker. She loved to travel but her family was most important in her life. She had four children, Ernest F. McAtee, Kenneth (Barbara) McAtee, Charlotte (Frank) Mecklenburg, and Ellen (Dave) Cohrs. She had two sisters Lois and Jody and a brother Joe. She had 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest and daughter Ellen and grandson Wayne. Services will be held at Mountain View, May 25th at 2:00pm.
