The Center for Independence will be having a FREE 5 day summer workshop for youth ages 14-24. This workshop is for youth with disabilities who have or had a 504 plan. This workshop will teach youth how to live and work well with a disability and help prepare them to live independently. The workshop will take place August 8th-12th from 10am to 4pm. The Center for Independence (CFI) is a non-profit organization serving people with all disabilities in South King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties. CFI provides information and referral, peer support, individual advocacy, and independent living skills training. CFI’s mission is to serve as a resource for individuals with disabilities to fully access and participate in the community through outreach, advocacy, and independent living skills development.
