Communities in Schools of Lakewood (CISL) is most grateful for the businesses and organizations which sponsored our annual Champions for Youth Breakfast in March earlier this year.
Their lead in raising funds helped to bring in over $25,000 in contributions and we wish to acknowledge their support of our youth: Umpqua Bank, Harborstone Credit Union, Korsmo Construction, Columbia Bank, First Baptist Church of Lakewood, KMS Financial Services, Lakewood Ford, LeMay Entrprises, Les Schwab Tire, Mt. View Funeral Home, Puget Sound Energy, G. Robb Cooper, and Tacoma Links.
These funds will enable CISL to continue Readiness to Learn, Mentoring and After-School programs for the remainder of this school year and into the summer as well as making preparations for this fall. Communities in Schools is now recognized nationally as one of the most successful programs for keeping our youth in school and successfully graduating.
