Forecast for May 4-6 2011

May 4, 2011 By The Suburban Times

Well everyone we are in store for a beautiful day. Wednesday, we are going to see mostly sunny skies with a high near 64 and a low near 44 with increasing clouds overnight. Thursday, the rain returns again with scattered showers, a high near 60 and a low near 46. Friday, we will see quite similar conditions with scattered showers throughout the day, a high near 60 and a low near 45 with the rain picking up overnight. Also, just letting everyone know that today (May 4)  marks the 4 year anniversary of the May 4, 2007 EF-5 tornado that struck the small town of Greensburg, KS and wiped it off the map. I know several storm chasers that were on that storm, and some people who lived there when it happened. Needless to say that storm was a life changing one for all of the people involved and will never be forgotten. Also, yesterday (May 3) was the anniversary of the May 3, 1999 F-5 tornado that struck the Oklahoma City area. That tornado was also extremely powerful and did a great deal of devastation. Unfortunately, the tornadoes of April 27, 2011 may have surpassed the strength of both of these storms. My thoughts are out to everyone involved in this latest tornado outbreak throughout the south and donations to the American Red Cross would be a very big help for everyone down there, the devastation is horrible. It really hits home for me personally because I do know someone who lives in one of the towns hit, and I haven’t heard from her since. Anything that could help these people would be greatly appreciated from everyone! Everyone enjoy the rest of your weeks!
