The LOTT Clean Water Alliance Regional Services Center (LOTT) in Olympia, Washington was recently awarded the Grand Prize from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council’s (SBIC) Beyond Green High-Performance Building program in Washington D.C. This national program recognizes the initiatives that influence the high-performance building market and the application of design and construction that are required.
In addition, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) named the LOTT building as one of its Top Ten Green Projects for 2011 through the Committee on the Environment (COTE) awards program. This award recognizes the benefits of sustainable design and acknowledges architects as leaders in the creation of environmentally responsible design solutions.
The LOTT Alliance selected Korsmo Construction and The Miller Hull Partnership to design and build this LEED Platinum certified project that included renovating the existing administrative and laboratory building and the creation of a new four-story Regional Services Center to house administrative offices, an emergency operations center, boardroom, and an education center with interpretive exhibits and a classroom.
