Beyond Facebook seminar

April 17, 2011 By Ben Sclair

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce will host Beyond Facebook – A FREE Seminar, on Wednesday, April 27 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Great American Casino. RSVP to 253-582-9400.

This seminar will delve into how Ken Swarner’s company, The Weekly Volcano/Ranger/Northwest Airlifter, uses Twitter, LinkedIn, Yelp, Insider Pages, blogs, YouTube, I Contact, online magazines, Flickr, Foursquare and more to network with their clients. Ken will provide a demonstration of each with tips on best practices.

Their Facebook pages for example, have nearly 5,000 Friends, almost 3,000 total Twitter followers, and their unique visitors to their websites is nearing 50,000.  They also drew 950 spouses to their recent Baby Shower event – and gained coverage on MSNBC and CNN.  As you can see, Ken and his staff have learned a few things abut how to make this all work.

Come join us as we learn about the new social networking world. Lunch will be available to purchase for those who require noon time sustenance!
