JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. – The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, TAPS, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit Veterans Service Organization, will hold a grief seminar for adults and a good grief camp for children Saturday, April 16 at American Lake Community Center.
TAPS has offered support to more than 25,000 surviving family members of our fallen military since 1994, including peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, seminars, case work assistance, and 24/7 crisis intervention care for all who have been affected by a death in the Armed Forces.
Reporters will be able to interview adult surviving family members who have volunteered to share their stories, and to attend the balloon release ceremony that concludes the children’s camp.
