Friends of Steilacoom Library book sale

April 14, 2011 By Ben Sclair

By Beverly Isenson

Friends of Steilacoom Library will hold a book sale and membership drive this week, on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16.  Good quality used books will be on sale in the library’s meeting room, where membership forms will be available.  Books range from children’s stories and fiction to cooking, history, and other subjects, all at bargain prices.
Hours for the sale and membership recruitment will be 11 AM to 6 PM on Friday, and 11 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday. Membership starts at $5.

The library and Friends are also sponsoring a discussion of “The Big Burn,” the Pierce County Reads! book for this year, at 7 PM, Wednesday, April 20. Margaret Upshaw will lead the discussion. The event is free and open to the public.

Book sale proceeds and membership fees are dedicated to bringing interesting programs to the Steilacoom branch library.
