Tomorrow night, Wednesday, March 23, is the fourth Neighborhood “Speak UP” Community Meeting for the City of University Place and it begins at 7 p.m. at the University Place Library, 3609 Market Place, Suite 100. This is the final meeting of a series of community meetings which the City has held during the months of February and March. These gatherings have provided citizens and business owners with the opportunity to meet with City Council and staff to discuss questions or issues of concern.
According to Mayor Debbie Klosowski, “We’ve scheduled these meetings in various sectors of the City to make them accessible for all of our citizens.” The concluding meeting is being held in the very heart of the city, at the newly opened U.P. branch of the Pierce County Library System.
Citizens can also call to request a special meeting. For more information or to host a meeting in your own neighborhood, contact Marian Holloway at 253.460.2500 or visit the City’s website at www.CityofUP.com.
