Donald A. Brebner, May 15, 1924 – March 7, 2011. Don was born the only child of Lewis and Mabel Brebner. He resided in Tacoma and spent all but 6 years of his life on McKinley Hill. Don enjoyed the people and time spent at the Lighthouse Senior Center and the caring people at Franciscan Hospice. He is survived by special friends George and Clara McLam, Daniel and Bilinda Hunter, owner of the Noble Home I & II, and numerous cousins. Graveside services will be held 2:30 pm, Friday, March 11, 2011 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. (253) 584-0252. Russell GeorgeRussell William George. Russell was born on September 29, 1921 in Raymond, Washington, and passed away February 25, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Foss-George. Russell is survived by his son Michael George, wife Joann, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Bettasso, husband Paul, and Betty Shipman and Joyce George, and by countless nieces and nephews. Russell will be buried at Tahoma Veteran’s Cemetery in Kent. There will be no graveside services at Russell’s request. There will be a celebration of Russell’s life on March 19th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Carol and Aldo’s home at 4121 North 18th Street, Tacoma, Washington. Joseph GormleyJoseph Patrick Gormley, 2/20/53 – 3/6/11. Joe passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with cancer. A Vietnam veteran that lived in Tacoma most of his life, Joe loved to play his guitar. He is an adored husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend that will be missed by all. In 2002, Joe dedicated his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He had faith in the resurrection hope found at Rev. 21:3, 4. Joe is survived by his wife, Angela; children, Tabitha, Kelley, Sean, Andrew, Maisy; siblings, James, Genevieve, Christine, Dennis; his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1201 E 72nd St., in Tacoma. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. Wallace Martin Milsten was born on August 24, 1954 to Marvin and Rose Milsten of Tacoma, WA, and passed away March 4, 2011 at the age of 56. Wally lived in Tacoma his whole life and graduated from Washington High School in 1972. In spite of his health challenges he always kept an upbeat attitude. Everyone who knew Wally loved him. He was an avid practical joker, loved people, and had an incredible passion for cars and trucks. One of the highlights of his working career was working for his Dad’s business – Marv’s Used Trucks in Olympia. He’s survived by his mother Rose, brothers Dennis (Michaelene) and Morris (Martha), daughters Kristen and Savannah, 3 grandchildren, one niece, and four nephews. Memorial services celebrating Wally’s life will he held Thursday, March 10th, 2011 at 1:00 in the Celebration of Life Building, Aspen Chapel, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Penelope “Penny” Mildred (Harrison) Pelland Was born to Glenn and Mildred Harrison on June 15, 1941 in Seattle, WA and passed away after a long illness on March 6, 2011. She grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. She is survived by her mother Mildred Harrison, her sons Joe and Scott Pelland, her brothers Jim Harrison (Jeannette) and Tom Harrison (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. Penny was an avid reader and had a huge love for her cats. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and at her request there will be no services.
