Berna Barcus Age 73 of Tacoma passed away March 2, 2011. She was born in Storm Lake Iowa July 6, 1937. She is survived by daughter Ann, son Glen, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two sisters, Glenda and Kathy. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday March 10th at Mountain View Memorial Home. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. (253) 584-0252. Michael KostMichael “Mick” Nicholas Kost passed away March 4, 2011. Born to Nickolas and Helen Kost, on July 22, 1925. Born in Colliers, West Virginia and grew up in Valhalla, New York. Proudly served in the US Navy aboard the carrier USS CASABLANCA from 1942-1946. He re-enlisted in the Navy Air Transport Squadron as a flight radio operator, 1946-1952. He worked for Alsco Linen Service in 1958 as a driver and a supervisor. He retired in 1987. He was a past member of Tacoma Outboard Association for 27 years. Mick was preceded in death by his son Michael, brother Edward, sister Irene. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Jacolyn, daughter Lynda Erikson and grandson Nicholas Erikson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Manor Care for all their help. Memorial services will be at Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, March 11, 2011 in the Aspen Chapel at 11:00AM.
