Support a Scout Luncheon

February 24, 2011 By Ben Sclair

By Homer Dodge, Boy Scouts of America, Pacific Harbors Council

Please make plans to attend the “Support a Scout Luncheon” on Friday March 11th at the Hotel Murano downtown Tacoma. Attorney General Rob McKenna is the featured Keynote speaker.  The Attorney General will provide some motivating and informational words of wisdom for everyone.  Also on the agenda for the luncheon is the recognition of our local Scouts that have received the Heroism Award and the National Certificate of Merit for their bravery, courage and leadership skills.  This event serves as the primary kickoff to the 2011 Friends of Scouting campaign.  To ensure a quality program is being delivered to the 18,000 youth who participate in the local Scout programs your financial support is needed.

Come enjoy a fabulous lunch complements of the Pacific Harbors Council.  We ask every guest that attends to consider making a $200 pledge during the event to help support one Scout.  On average your Council will spend $200 just to maintain the current services provided to our Scouts.  Please help us do better then just maintaining the programs.  Your contribution will help to ensure the Pacific Harbors Council is able to provide a quality program to our youth.  RSVPs are required to attend – please contact Tracy Kapelski (253-682-2226) to reserve your plans to attend.
