Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections impacted by weather and road conditions

February 24, 2011 By Ben Sclair

The solid waste collection companies serving unincorporated Pierce County and cities and towns other than Tacoma and Ruston report that weather and road conditions may impact normal operations on Thursday, Feb. 24.

  • American Disposal, DM Disposal, and Murrey’s Disposal
  • Lakewood Refuse, LeMay Enterprises, and Pierce County Refuse

The hauling companies are operating today and will collect garbage, recycling, and yard waste where local street conditions allow for safe operations. If your containers were not serviced by the end of the day, bring them back to your house. For no additional charge, the company will accept twice your normal amount of garbage, recycling, or yard waste at the next regularly scheduled pick-up day. If this requires you to use a container other than the ones normally used, please make sure you label the containers.

University Place Refuse and Westside Disposal
