Our representatives, meeting to discuss public business, in a room named after New York mobsters, in a gambling den with powerful political interests.

Hmmmm? Wonder why politicians are held in such low repute? Isn’t there anywhere else in Lakewood to hold these meetings?

Ask the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. They arrange these meetings. I don’t think throwing Mike under the bus for attending this coffee hour w/ the Chamber is what you’re intending since neither he nor Rep. Kelley arranged the meeting.

OK. So who’s on the CC board? The casino manager of course greasing the wheels of progress. Would this have been any more acceptable if the CC had scheduled the coffee at a strip club: another legal business? Didn’t Lakewood pay $2M for a convention center that could have been used? We are all responsible for our decisions: so is the CC and so are politicians.
