Valentine craft events at Pierce County Library System

Families will create valentines during free craft events at six Pierce County Libraries. At two libraries, participants will make a valentine for someone special.

* Tillicum Pierce County Library, 14916 Washington Ave. S.W., Saturday Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. FRIENDS of Lakewood Library sponsor this free event for ages 18 and up.

* Buckley Pierce County Library, 123 S. River Ave, Saturday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m. The Friends of the Buckley Library sponsor this free event for all ages.

At three libraries, people will learn the art of paper folding and create origami valentines for friends and family.

* Key Center Pierce County Library, 8905 KPN, Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. Friends of the Key Center Library sponsor this free event for all ages.

* South Hill Pierce County Library, 15420 Meridian E., Friday, Feb. 4, from 4 – 5 p.m. The Friends of the South Hill Library sponsor this free event for ages 6 – 12. Registration required. Sign up on the calendar @ www.piercecountylibrary.org.

* Steilacoom Pierce County Library, 2950 Steilacoom Blvd., Thursday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m. The Danae Rideout Endowment, Pierce County Library Foundation and Pierce County Library System sponsor this free event for ages 7 and up. Registration required. Sign up at the library.
