By Mike Darrah, Community Relations Chair
Doesn’t everyone eat lunch around noon? Sure they do. And wouldn’t you like to make your noon meal a little more meaningful? Sure you would. While enjoying the meal you can be enlightened by stimulating programs and also give back to your community.
The giving back is what we are all about. We direct our passion to the enhancement of children, we help not only that child, but their family and ultimately our community. Join us as we give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed. Help this volunteer group as we raise funds in support of various local programs.
Also, did you know there is such a thing as a free lunch. We’ll buy you your first lunch when you attend a Kiwanis meeting, each Tuesday, 12:00-1:00 at the RAM Restaurant, 10019 59th Ave SW, Lakewood. Come see what we are all about. and help us help those families in need in your community.
On Saturday, Feb 5, Washington Blvd was cleaned by Kiwanis volunteers as part of Adopt A Street. Should be nice and clean for your Monday commute. Let’s keep Lakewood beautiful, together.
Please keep in your prayers our military personnel who are away from their friends, family and loved ones and we wish each of them a safe journey.
