Now is the time to cast your vote to combine our two very similar fire districts. The last couple of years the two sets of fire commissioners and department staffs have been researching, studying and evaluating the feasibility of combining our two districts. We already share training, vehicle maintenance, mutual boundaries, big fire events,etc. and joining the rest of the functions of districts makes sense. Many of the state’s fire districts have already seen the value of joining and have accomplished it. These economic times justify the combining of our two outstanding department. Both fire districts will have their vehicles maintain their existing identification but with “West Pierce” added to it. Please consider a “Yes” vote on this measure.
