Lawrence A. Black, 65, passed away on January 4, 2011. Larry was a Vietnam veteran and operated his own legal investigation business, L.A. Black & Associates. He is survived by his wife Lillian R. Black, son Mark Black, daughter Anna Smead, brother, Larry McCarthy and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 1pm, Monday, January 10, 2011 at Mountain View Funeral Home Valley Chapel. Jennie Marx
Beloved grandmother and friend Jennie was peacefully called home by our Lord at age 93 on 1/4/2011. preceded in death by George, Bert, Charles, and Roy Sr. Survived by her remaining grandchildren Debbie, Connie, Rhonda, Roy, and Ron, and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation at Mountain View Funeral Home 10am-9pm on 1/9, and graveside service at Mt. View 1/10 at 11:30 with reception to follow. Donations encouraged to American Cancer Society . Arlo Schroeder

Arlo H. Schroeder 9/29/29 – 1/4/11 Arlo was born in Escondido, California to Walter and Helen Schroeder. A resident of Tacoma for the past 38 years he retired from the State Auditor’s office in 1994. As a member of Kiwanis Club of NW Tacoma he served as President, Treasurer and Key Club Adviser. A dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, Arlo served as Head Elder, Bible class teacher and head usher. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha; children, Karen (Michael) Fischer, Kirk (Lonnie) Schroeder, Carol (Gary) McDaniel, Cathryn (Tom) Hammond; grandchildren, Matthew (Katie), Timothy and Daniel Fischer, Andrea and Robert Schroeder, Jonathan, Jennifer, Amy and Anna McDaniel, Nicholas Hammond. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or MultiCare Hospice. Interment on Sat. 1/8/2011 9:30AM Mountain View Cemetery.
