The Lakewood United group meets at 7 AM every Thursday at Burs Restaurant, which is located at 6151 Steilacoom Boulevard SW in Lakewood. The events for the next four weeks are as follows:

- January 13, 2011 – Two Presentations – “State of the District” – Debbie LeBeau, Clover Park School District Superintendent. “Lakewood Fire District Merger Election” (February 8th), Ken Sharp, Lakewood Fire Chief (Robin Rego – MC)
- January 20, 2011 – Joint Base Lewis McChord Update – Joint Base Commander, Col. Tommy Brittain (Kris Kauffman – MC)
- January 27, 2011 – The Aftermath of the Recent General Election – Peter Callaghan, New Tribune Columnist (Ernest Heller – MC)
The dues for our fiscal year, which started on July 1, 2010, are $20 per year which equates to less than 40 cents every Thursday. This is thanks to our volunteer board. Incidentally, our guest speakers only charge us the cost of a breakfast. You can pay your dues by mail to: Lakewood United, P.O. Box 99785, Lakewood, WA 98496 or directly to our Treasurer, Sue Boguszewski, if she is present at the weekly Thursday morning events.
There is a minimum charge at Burs Restaurant. Please ensure that you at least order a beverage if you wish to attend the meeting.
