Charles Jesse Allen Jr. 1933 – 2010 Charles Jesse Allen Jr. entered into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ early Tuesday morning, December 28. Charles was born July 20, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Orabelle Allen. He was married to Mary Jane Allen (Maxwell) on July 20, 1952, and together they raised their family, Susan Hale (deceased), Sheryl DeLeon, Sonia and Dave Miller, Steve and Becky Allen. Charles and Mary Jane were blessed with 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Evelyn M. Baird Born to Fred and Daisy Lambert August 8, 1915 and passed away Dec. 21, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Evelyn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, with a beautiful smile and caring nature. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Raymond L. Baird, son Bruce (Joan) Baird, daughters Jeanne (Gail) Munk, Peggy (Donald) Swenson, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Ursella Elizabeth Butt was born in Denver, Colorado to Ronald and Mildred Watts on March 13, 1923 and passed away on December 27, 2010. Ursella was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter. She is survived by her daughters Kate Butt and Lynda Hodgkiss, her grandson Matthew Smith, and her sister-in-law Hazel Wallace. Urs graduated from Stadium High School in 1942 and the University of Puget Sound in 1946 where she received a BA in literature and history. She was a member of many organizations including Golden Girls (Stadium), AAUW (UPS), Alpha Delta Gamma Sorority, and the Les Jardinieres Garden club. For many years Ursella worked for Darigold in Tacoma where she retired in 1985. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, and going to the theatre. Throughout her life, Ursella showed a God given strength that was seen by those whose lives she touched. A special thank you is extended to Dani and Hazel for their devotion and love for Mom. The family requests remembrances in Ursella’s name to Franciscan Hospice House at 2901 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA 98466. Their compassion and love helped guide her family through her final journey. A service is planned at Mt. View Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 4 at 12:00 Noon in the Aspen Chapel. Doris May Jacobs Together Again 12/23/2010 Our loving mother and grandmother, born Doris May Brookens on Sept. 18, 1920 in Tacoma, Washington, went to join her beloved husband Albert and 3 grandsons, 2 brothers and 4 sisters on December 23, 2010. She will be sorely missed by those who survived her death, daughter Peggy Shuck, sons Thomas (Jeri), Gary (Irene) and Donald (Debra), 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and sisters Janet and Betsy. Doris and Albert were married 56 years and loved their family and loved to travel. Now they travel together again. Paulette Ann Wilcher We knew that afternoon that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. You do not go alone for part of us went with you. You left us your love and many beautiful memories, Thank You, for that. Paulette was born on 11/12/1946 in Wenatchee, WA. She passed on 12/19/2010 at the age of 64. Paulette was a loving and devoted wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. She was dearly loved by her family and many friends. Paulette is survived by her daughter Robin, son Shawn Wilcher, three sisters, two brothers, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Haziel Matiel Zeller, 89, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2010. Born January 17, 1921 to Ellen and Charley Kegg, she lived her life for the Lord to the fullest. She was a gifted cook and seamstress who imparted these special skills onto her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Chester Zeller, loving children Dale (Barbara) Zeller, Jackie (Roy) Godbey, and Doris Zeller, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and enriched the lives of 34 foster children. She was preceded in death by her two children, Marvin and Sharolyn (Bass) Zeller, parents, and 13 siblings. An irreplaceable woman, whose love touched so many lives and will forever be missed.
