Lawrence (Larry) Grendell Born 10/11/1940; passed away 12/15/2010 with his wife of 36 years, Geraldine (Jeri), and several other members of the family and friends at his side. Larry served 21 years in the Air Force and another 21 years working the same job with Civil Service. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Victoria (Vicki) Ruth Lacy was born September 26, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Nana P. Watkins. She passed away December 11, 2010 in Tacoma, Washington, where her family was relocated. Vicki, as she was affectionately known, was always a hard worker. Although she did many things, her passion was caring for others. She worked over twenty years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She cared intensely, and was a very special Angel of God. Anyone who knew Vicki knew that she loved her grandbabies, long drives to anywhere, and the water. Just being near the water was very calming and reflective for her. Vicki leaves to honor her memory daughters Alicisia Jackson and Andr a McKinney, four grandchildren, Gemishia, Yonaia, Mazzar Jr.,and Zamaree, one great-grandchild, Jordan, her mother, two sisters, Dawn and Ateten, one niece, Ebone`, and a host of family and friends. Vicki was preceded in death by her father Robert Jackson February 8, 1995. A memorial celebration will be held at 1:00 PM, January 8, 2011, at the Sharon McGavick Student Center & Conference Facility, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 (Clover Park Tech. Richard Duncan McCrea was born in Leeds, ND on October 1, 1924, and passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010. He was a World War II veteran with the 29th Infantry Division, and was seriously wounded in Europe in October of 1944. He worked many years for Pioneer Business Forms, retiring in 1989. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Marie, the love of his life. Dick was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Surviving are son Rich McCrea (Linda), and grandchildren Grant and Edel McCrea. Dick is also survived by his sister Helen (Russell Smith), his nephew Biff Smith (Gail), and nieces Julie Zager (Jeff) and Vicki Hass. Dick spent his retirement years loving his grandchildren and indulging in his love of the movies. He was always happy and never lost his sense of humor. Remembrances are suggested to the Tacoma-Pierce County Chaplaincy. A memorial service will be held in the Mountain View Garden Chapel in Lakewood on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Elsie Aline Orchard Died December 15, 2010 at the age of 93. Born May 11, 1917 in Texhoma, OK to Jesse and Pearl Helton. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. SFC Ret Jessie Glenn Steeley, 72, died December 17, 2010 in Puyallup, surrounded by his family. He was born in Stewart County, Tennessee on September 15, 1938, the 5th child of Robert and Lola Mae Steeley. After spending three years in the U.S. Air Force, Jessie joined the U.S. Army, serving his country for over 20 years. His military career took him to England, Germany and Korea, as well as numerous bases in the United States. He served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he went to work for Boeing as an aircraft mechanic until 2001. Jessie had a longtime love for all types of aircraft. He was an amateur radio enthusiast, his call sign being WA7TNY. His other interests included photography, computers, Bluegrass music, and NASCAR racing. Jessie is survived by his beloved wife Valerie, son and daughter-in-law Glen and Lisa Steeley, son and daughter-in-law Gary Steeley and Dr. Laura Chesak, daughter Aimee Steeley, grandchildren Emily and Evan Steeley, brother and sister-in-law John and Anne Steeley, sisters Lorene Lehman, Margaret Rebecca Campbell, Martha J. Atkins, and Betty Dotson, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Steeley. A memorial service will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Monday, December 20, 2010 at 2pm.
