Jeff Evans (above) of Amazement Productions performed at the University Place / Fircrest Division of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber Wake UP! on Friday morning, putting on a show that dazzled, amazed, and amused the delighted audience. It was stunning that anyone could be so funny and engaging at 7:30 a.m. while simultaneously putting on a free-wheeling “strolling” magic show. What a performer! He does 275 shows a year and boasts a “100% on-time reliability record.”
The December meeting was a combination holiday season celebration and a business showcase. Member businesses were given an opportunity to host a table or tradeshow booth display promoting their businesses during the event.
University Place Firefighter Greg Reimann was one of the guest speakers. After he spoke, some spontaneous fundraising took place during the gathering that yielded enough cash donations to purchase a brand new 16-inch and an 18-inch boy’s bike for distribution through Toys for Tots.
The University Place / Fircrest Division of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce holds an early a.m. meeting at University Place Presbyterian Church. Meetings are typically on the last Friday of every month; however, with the timing of the holidays, the November and December meetings were moved up earlier in each of those months.
