Winton James Blomquist Jan. 18, 1915 – Dec. 10, 2010 Winton Blomquist died peacefully Dec. 10, at 95 years. Born in Superior, WI the 4th of 5 children to Axel and Ahlie Blomquist. He is survived by his wife Mary of 61 years, daughters, Jody (Randy) Cox, and Kathy, granddaughters Jamie Cox and Andrea (Kevin) Miller, and great-granddaughter Hunter. Wint was preceded in death by his son Dan (1994) and his siblings. Wint moved to Washington in 1937 and served in the Army from 1942 – 1945. He and Mary married in 1948, settled in Tacoma, and had 3 children. He retired civil service at Fort Lewis, WA. Wint had many talents and will be remembered for his cleverness and kindness. He loved playing guitar with best friend Bill Kinkella. Wint had an uncanny sense for mechanical operations and was able to create what he needed for any given application. Wint and Mary were active in many of the local community dances. Visitation will be held Dec. 15, 1pm to 9pm, at Mt. View Funeral home. Services will be held at Mt. Joseph “Mark” Dessen has left us and joined his beloved and beautiful wife, Beverly and their son David.EMark endured a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, along with a broken heart from the loss of the love of his life, Beverly. He courageously went on with the endless support from his daughter, Anita and son-in-law, Michael, as well as his sister Judy. Mark found comfort from true lifelong friends, Gary and Cindy Peterson and Joe Stortini. Mark was a graduate of Clover Park High School. He was a hard working man, and retired from Pierce County Road Division and Food King. Mark’s true passions were traveling to Hawaii and Reno, and enjoying sporting events. A true Seahawk and Husky fan, everyone knew not to show up at Mark’s house wearing Cougar gear. Mark and Beverly were Husky season ticket holders and attended many games with Mark’s brother Paul. He is survived by his devoted daughter Anita (Michael), granddaughter Shiban (Paul), and great-grandson Paul, along with his loving brother and sister, Paul (Helen) and Judy, he also leaves behind an aunt, cousins and nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Barbara Prentice DeRousseau Loving wife and mother Barbara L. DeRousseau, born March 14, 1928 to Alexander and Evelyn Prentice in Tacoma, passed away December 10, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Phil J. DeRousseau. She is survived by 3 children, Douglas (Deeann), David (Shelly), and Robin (Scott) Lynch, and 2 grandchildren, Colin DeRousseau and Sarah Lynch. At her request there will be no services. Jeanette Yvonne Gines Born August 14th, 1937; passed away peacefully December 7th, 2010. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Jeanette is survived by four sisters, her husband of 53 years, two children, and four grandchildren. She will always be in our hearts. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 18th at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood. A reception will follow.
