The Red Ribbon Bazaar – A Steilacoom Tradition

December 1, 2010 By Ben Sclair

By Bettye Craft

Steilacoom High School’s Red Ribbon Bazaar is in its 13th year and still a great place to begin your holidays! Join us on December 4th from 9 am to 3pm and visit the more than 85 vendors who will be offering items perfect for holiday giving and enjoyment. This year the bazaar will feature wonderful handmade arts and crafts, such as quilts, beautiful jewelry, holiday décor, one of a kind clothing, photography, stationary, hand made ornaments, and many other items. Student groups will be serving lunch and offering baked goods and drinks for sale. The Key Club will be providing activities and Santa photos for children. There will be a silent auction of table top trees and gift baskets to raise money for student clubs and groups in the district. There will be a drawing for an iPad that the class of 2010 is raffling. Entertainment will begin at 10:30 and will feature performances by Tacoma Youth Chorus, Pioneer Middle School Choir and Steilacoom High School Choir. The Bazaar will be held at Steilacoom High School at 54 Sentinel Drive. The $1 admission supports arts, academics and athletics at SHS.
