Lakewood’s 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

December 1, 2010 By Ben Sclair

Santa Claus is coming to Lakewood! All Lakewood residents are invited to the 15th annual holiday festival Friday, Dec.3, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Lakewood City Hall, 6000 Main Street in Lakewood. The Christmas festival includes a small parade from Starbuck’s to the front of City Hall, the Lakewood Christmas tree lighting, free children’s crafts, holiday music, refreshments and a visit with Santa where kids can tell him what they want for Christmas and receive a candy cane in return (candy canes will be handed out instead of gifts this year).

Experience the lighting of Lakewood’s Christmas tree at 4:30pm and welcome Santa to town at 4:45pm.  Dress warm!  Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Emergency Food Network. Contact Lakewood Parks and Recreation at (253) 983-7887 for more information.
