Together they raised four children, Bob-Ann, Sallie, Randi and Danny Swanson (deceased August 14, 1971). In 1967 she married Edward T. She and Ed enjoyed working at Ed Selden Floor Covering in Lakewood, and entertaining at their home in Steilacoom and the family cabin in Packwood, Washington.

At her party were all six of their children, Bob-Ann Cribb, Sallie (Bob) Kessey, Randi (Terry) Slatten, Pam (Kurt) Mayer, Marsha (Lloyd) Williams, and Rick (Sharon) Selden along with six grandchildren Jaimie (Eric) Garrett, Sara and Sami Slatten, Natalie Mayer, Joe (Gloria) Mayer, Gayle Selden, and six great-grandchildren Zack and Shane Garrett, Taryn Bye, Elliott Mayer-Yeager, Ethan and Jonathan Mayer.
