Sunday, about 300 drummers (above) got together at the Juanita High School fieldhouse in Kirkland to help set a new Guinness record for drummers playing the same tune together at the same time. Originated by Lakewood resident Chris Kimball, a group of Lakewood Rotary Club members helped with the registration early Sunday morning. In addition to the area drummers, Kimball reported more drummers in 15 cities around the United States and Canada participated in the world record attempt. The exact number of drummers nationwide participating wasn’t available Sunday evening.
