LAKEWOOD, WA – Lakewold Gardens attracts many visitors throughout the spring and summer months, but visiting the gardens in the fall is quite a sight as well, especially during the week of Lakewold’s annual Beautiful Tables Showcase. With the vibrant colors of autumn surrounding the 10-acre estate, the gardens are the perfect backdrop for this festive event. The showcase has become one of Lakewold’s signature events and visitors return each year to enjoy the beautiful table settings that the designers craft.

In its 12th year, Beautiful Tables Showcase is open to the public Thursday, November 4 – Sunday, November 7 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The showcase is a fundraiser for the gardens and is held in honor of Mrs. Eulalie Wagner, the former owner and visionary behind the gardens who was duly noted as a consummate gardener and hostess.

The Wagner House at Lakewold Gardens will be filled with nearly 30 beautiful table settings that range in theme and style – from a table entitled “Ice Cream, Cake, and Candy” fit for a child’s birthday bash to an elegant setting that pays homage to the seasons, entitled “The Reign of Autumn.” With a wonderful mix of professional and novice designers, attendees of the event can expect to see décor, ideas and designs that are unique and artistic. Designers will compete for top honors in four categories and each visitor participates by casting a vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.

“Beautiful Tables has become a great source of inspiration for visitors planning to entertain over the holidays,” says Irene Russo, Showcase Coordinator, “and it is such a wonderful time at the gardens with the fall foliage and colors.”
