The City of Lakewood Youth Council has selected the Grave Concerns Association for the 4th year as a public service site. On Saturday, October 23, 9:00 am to noon, youth leaders will guide volunteers installing over 20 grave markers on the perimeter of the Western State Hospital Cemetery. Markers with patients’ names and dates are being placed on graves that previously were identified only by numbered plaques. The new markers are provided by OptumHealth Public Sector. Other projects will be done at the cemetery during the morning. Volunteers are welcome to join the effort. The Cemetery is located in Fort Steilacoom Park on Steilacoom Boulevard, across from Western State Hospital.
