1-10-1 Formation of Countywide Flood Control District
Proposal by Pierce County to form a Countywide Flood Control District under the authority of RCW Chapter 86.15. Boundaries are to be coextensive with Pierce County’s external boundaries, including all territory within Pierce County, both incorporated and unincorporated.
Testimony will be received in the following order: 1) Pierce County, 2) other proponents, 3) multiple jurisdictions which invoked the Board’s jurisdiction, 4) other opponents, and 5) neutral speakers.
Following the close of testimony and submittal of written material on October 12, the Board will deliberate and issue its written decision by November 12, 2010. The Board’s deliberations will be closed to public observation since the Board is acting in a quasijudicial capacity at that point.
Please note that all submittals become part of the file and will not be returned.
For correspondence, documents, or exhibits of a size suitable for individual handling, please provide eight (8) copies so that each Board member, the attorney, and Clerk may have a copy. For large exhibits (mounted maps, aerial photos, etc.), one copy will be sufficient.Print This Post
