I heard from a few readers who struggled to confidently correspond the questions and answers from the slideshow from the October 7 Lakewood Chamber of Commerce candidate forum. So, following are the questions, and links to the photo answers.
- Question 1: Do you support opening the sale of workers’ compensation, industrial insurance to competition?
- Question 2: Do you think employer’s workers’ compensation costs are too high?

- Question 4: Will you stand to protect employee’s rights to a voluntary & secret ballot prior to unionizing their workplace?
- Question 5: Do you support contracting out for work that can be by the private sector?
- Question 6: Do you support the employer’s rights to talk freely and openly with employees about the economic realities of the business?
- Question 7: Should the legislature be required to have a two-thirds vote to increase taxes?
- Question 8: Do taxpayers have the right to see how tax dollars are spent?
- Question 9: Do you support Initiative 1053?
- Question 10: Will you support legislation that will prohibit the taking of privately owned property by cities/counties for economic development?
- Question 11: Do you support imposing an income tax on Washington’s taxpayers?
- Question 12: Do you support Initiative 1098?

Comments on question #4. I miss heard this question and I even asked for a second reading unfortunately, my answer was not the answer that I believe correctly states my position. I support efforts to protect employee’s rights to a voluntary & secret ballot prior to unionizing their workplace. Therefore, my response to this question should be Yes.
