Pets of the Week

October 7, 2010 By Ben Sclair

Suzie_POTW

Suzie’s smile says it all. She is sweet and petite with a love of treats. Suzie came into the shelter when her owner became ill. This 9 year old Chihuahua is a spayed female. She can be a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. She loves to have her hips rubbed and really enjoys taking walks. Suzie could use a diet as well as a teeth cleaning. Her front right leg was broken at one time and didn’t heal quite right. She walks with a bit of a limp, but it doesn’t slow her down at all. Come meet Suzie and see if you can keep up!

Ferris_POTW

Meteorologists are predicting a very cold fall and winter this year. It’s a great time to adopt a kitty (or two) to snuggle with! Meet Ferris. This sweet kitty is a 2 year old neutered male. He’s a gray tabby with a very soft coat. Ferris came to the shelter when his owner discovered he was allergic to him. Now Ferris is looking for a forever home where he can get lots of love and attention.

Contact The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County, (253) 284-5844 for more information. You can now see all shelter pets online.
